Propagation
Sow fresh seed during autumn and place them in a warm environment.
Take semi-hardwood cuttings taken during summer and placed them on a misting bench.
Aerial layering is carried out during the growing period.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are lanceolate to irregularly lobed and the size varies with age growing up to 250mm (10in) long. The apex is obtuse and the texture is leathery.
Flower: The orange to red tubulate flowers are arranged in an axillary corymb that appears from spring to early summer.
Fruit: The rounded woody follicle contains many has flanged (winged) seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
