Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in situ in a prepared bed.
Take soft tip or semi-hardwood cuttings during summer.
Divide established clumps during spring.
Botanic information
Leaf: The variable leaves are linear to lanceolate or spathulate and tend to be clustered together. They are covered in fine silky hairs that gives them a silvery appearance.
Flower: The buds are pink and the funnelform flowers are white with a yellow eye. They are arranged in a dense cluster and appear from spring to summer in succession.
Fruit: The small capsule is 2 locular and the seeds are very viable. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
