Flower: The small dainty nodding stellate flowers are blue with yellow filaments and are arranged on a slender branched panicle that is held above the foliage on a slender branched scape and appear from spring to summer.
Fruit: The small berry is blue-purple in colour and is long lasting on the plant. The seeds are dispersed by birds, animals and gravity. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively to maintain true to type.
