Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media and keep moist.
Take semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer and place them on a misting bench.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy dark green leaves are ovate to elliptical and the margins are slightly recurved. They have no petiole and are arranged in opposite pairs along the stem.
Flower: The pink tubulate flowers have 4-spreading lobes with 2-protruding stamens and are arranged in a terminal globular head that is up to 40mm (1½in)wide and appear during spring.
Fruit: The small nut-like fruit produced is oval shaped. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
