Propagation
Stratify seeds for three months and maintain a temperature of 5º C (41º F) prior to sowing in a prepared bed and keep moist.

Take semi hardwood cuttings during autumn.
Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The large dark green pinnate leaves have up to 40 oblong to ovate leathery leaflets. They have sharply toothed margins and grow to 60mm (2¥in) long.

Flower: The yellow crateriform flowers have sepals in 3-series and petals in 2-series with 6-stamens. They are arranged in a dense terminal raceme that is up to 200 mm (7µ in) long and appears from autumn to winter.

Fruit: The small grape-like berries are used for making jelly. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
