Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F)
Take semi-hardwood cuttings during late summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leathery textured glossy dark green lanceolate leaves are woolly on the undersides and has slightly recurved crenulate to entire margins. The leaves have a strong citrus-like odour when crushed and the venation is prominenton the underside.
Flower: The creamy-white campanulate flowers have 5-petals with prominent stamens and persistent petal-like calyxes. They are arranged in a panicle of umbels and appear from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small woody 2-celled capsule is green maturing dark brown and enclosed by the persistent calyx. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
