Propagation
Sow fresh seed in situ during spring or in autumn.
The plant has sensitive roots and dislike being transplanted.
Botanic information
Leaf: The finely lobed lanceolate leaves are grey-green to blue-green and have a soft and delicate apperance.
Flower: The cyathiform (cup-shaped) flowers are available in a wide range of colours including white, yellow and orange. The flower tends to close up during dull weather and is held above the foliage on a tall slender scape that appears during spring. Cultivars are available in semi-double and doubles.
Fruit: The elongated ribbed capsule contains numerous small seeds.
