Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period and apply bottom heat. Plant out in early spring with the new growth.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small mid-green elliptical leaves are arranged in whorls of 4 around the stem. The apex is acute-mucronate and the petiole is short.

Flower: The labiate blue-mauve flowers are composed of 2 lips. The upper lip has 2-lobes and lower lip has 3. They appear singularly from winter to spring in the leaf axils.

Fruit: The tiny nutlets are in groups of 4 and are enclosed in the persistent calyx. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
