Propagation
Separate offsets during the dormant period.
Sow fresh seeds in containers during spring and keep moist.

Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow linear grey-green leaves are normally evergreen in warm climates and have an acute apex and a canaliculate base.

Flower: The dainty lilac tubulate flowers have a long tube with spreading petals and a long slender pedicle. There are 10 to 14 blooms arranged in a terminal umbel that is are held above the foliage on a long scape appearing from late spring to summer.

Fruit: The small dehiscent capsule contains numerous tiny seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
