Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media and keep moist.

Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The narrow mid-green long linear leaves have a rough texture with revolute margins. They are upright and arching and are a feature of the plant.

Flower: The spike is upright or nodding and grows up to 300mm (1ft) tall and has long bristles. They appear during midsummer and are long lasting.

Fruit: The small seed is not commonly seen and normally the plant is reproduced vegetatively.
