Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are narrow lanceolate to linear up to 35 mm (1?in) wide and have a sharply pointed acuminate apex. They appear towards the end of the stems and are arranged spirally.

Flower: The purple tinged white crateriform flowers are arranged in a panicle that is held above the foliage on a tall scape. The flowering period may vary in tropical regions but they normally appear during early summer.

Fruit: The small capsule is not normally seen and the seed produced is viable. The flowers may need to be hand pollinated to produce seeds. This plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
