Take soft tip cuttings and semi-hardwood cuttings during summer.
This plant can be grafted onto P.caerularootstocks.
Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are oblong to ovate with a lobe-like toothed margin. They are covered in soft brown hairs and have a cordate base with a brownish petiole that is up to 50mm (2in) long.
Flower: The crateriform flowers have scarlet petals and sepals that spread to reveal pink to pale purple or white corolla and has an upright column. The column is composed of yellow anthers and a red style and stigma and the flowers appear from late summer to autumn.
Fruit: This berry is green turning yellow-orange with darker strips when ripe and has a wrinkled appearance. In warm areas fruiting may appear again in autumn. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
