Culture
Due to the rapid growth of Agrostis palustrisit requires ample moisture and fertiliser. It will grow under a variety of soil conditions but dose best where the acidity is low and aeration is high. The stolons are long and slender with few rhizomes.

Flower: The inflorescence is a narrow dense panicle that is pale purple with branches that are clustered and appear during summer.
Fruit: The seed is very small with about 17,600,00 per kg. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
