Propagation
Plant out runners (stolons) from spring to summer and keep moist as they root at the nodes.
Cultivars must be propagated vegetatively to ensure true to type.
Culture
The stolons have swollen nodes and the thatchingshould be controlled with an annual detaching or by scarfing then top dressing. When top dressing, push the soil well into the mat to marry up with the existing soil and do not cover the leaf blades for any length of time
This grass naturalises in coastal areas on sandy soils and is regarded as a weedunder these conditions.

Flower: The terminal and axillaryracemes are composed of short spikelets and appear from spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small seed has a short viability time and is not commonly available commercially. This plant is normally reproduces vegetatively and is dispersed by soil movement and rubbish dumping.Commercial lawns are laid in turf rolls or sods.
