Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media and germination occurs in 1 to 6 months Keep moist with bottom heat at 25º C.

Divide established clumps during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The pendent pinnate fronds have 12 to 16 thin-textured lanceolate leaflets up to 150mm (6in) long. As the leaflets dies off they fall away from the midrib leaving it bare and it then persist on the trunk.

Flower: The yellow flowers are very small, globular-like and arranged alternately along the panicle. The inflorescence is up to 800mm (30in) long and is produced from the lower leaf sheaths and appears during summer.

Fruit: The black berries have a thin wall and is soft flesh and appear on a coral-red branched inflorescence. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
