Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media embarked that they may be slow to germinate.

Take cuttings during the growing period.

Culture
These plants tolerate a minimum temperature of 12ºC (55ºF) and preferring bright indirect light to a shaded position. During summer water liberally and reduce during winter, mist the leaves regularly to improve humidity.


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green leaves are broad-ovate to cordate and the margin is serrate to dentate. The main vein and the undersides are a golden-brown colour.

Flower: The very small greenish flowers are tightly packed in an axillarycyme that is 25mm (1in) long and appear during early summer.

Fruit: The dry berry is red, blue to black and they taste poorly. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
