Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media, and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F). Prick out and pot up when they are large enough to handle.

It is resistant tophytophthora cinnamomi.

Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a site, allowing ample room for it to grow as it has vigorous invasive roots that can lift concrete and block drains.


Botanic information
Leaf: The opposite ovate juvenile leaves are petiolate and grow up to 111 mm (4in) long. The lanceolate to slightly falcate adult leaves are up to 40 mm wide tapering to a fine point and have entire to crenulate margin. The upper surface is dark green and the underside is pale green.

Flower: There are 7 to 10 small creamy white flowers are arranged in an axillary umbel and appear during early spring. The clavate buds have a hemispherical opercula and the filaments are in groups of four.

Fruit: The capsule is pedicellate and is pyriform to obconical with faint ribs. There are 3 to 4 descending valves that may be enclosed or have extending tips.

General pruning information
Eucalyptusspecies require little pruning apart from removal of damaged or dead wood, which should be taken off at the collar. If the tree is cut back hard it will produce epicormic shoots and the crown may be lifted or thinned by removal of selected branches.
