Propagation
Divide the rhizome of established clumps during spring and maintain in a humid environment. Pot-up in to a well-drained but moist organic rich soil.


Botanic information
Leaf: The light green leaves are narrow to broad oblong with parallel pinnate venation that runs to the margin and is normally coloured red. The undersides are grey-green tinged with purple and the leaves may fold up at night giving it the common name of Prayer Plant.

Flower: The tiny white flowers are symmetry in shape and tinged with pink. They are arranged in a raceme that is held above the foliage on a slender scape during early summer.

Fruit: The small capsule is not normally seenand the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
