Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media and keep moist.

Take stem cuttings during spring and keep in a humid environment.
Air layering is used during the growing period.

Culture
Keep the leaves dust free and avoid over watering. The plant can tolerate low levels of light but dislikes drought.
In cold climates it is grown under glass or in a conservatory as a specimen requiring bright light and a humid position for rapid growth.


Botanic information
Leaf: The recurved drooping leaves are long lanceolate and have a lighter green-yellow stripe towards the centre. The apex is acute and the texture is leathery.

Flower: The small cream to yellow sweetly scented stellate flowers are arranged in a dense cluster that is in turn arranged in a pendant panicle with a zig zag shaped peduncle. It appears from late summer to autumn but is not commonly seen on indoor specimens.

Fruit: The small berries are orange-red colour and the seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
