Propagation
Sow fresh seed during late winter and maintain a temperature of 13º to 16º C.

Take root cuttings during late autumn and soft tip cutting from basal shoots during spring.
Divide runners during spring.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green obovate sessile leaves are lobed and pubescent. They appear at the base or alternately on the flowering stem. The apex is acuminate and the margin is serrate to dentate.

Flower: The pink expanding tubular flowers are commonly spotted red in the throat and have a long pedestal. They are arranged in a terminal raceme that is held above the foliage on a leafy scape and appear during summer and are long lasting.

Fruit: The fruit is a 2-locular capsule and contains the numerous small seeds that are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
