Propagation
Take stem and soft tip cuttings during early summer. Place them in a well-drained media and apply mist until roots develop.

Culture
In cold climates it is grown in conservatories or used as an indoor plant, requiring a sunny position and is suitable as a tubs specimen. It requires a minium temperature of 18º C during winter and is fast growing.


Botanic information
Leaf: The thin textured dark green ovate leaves have prominent venation on the upper surface with an acuminate apex. The leaf base tapers along the short petiole and the leaves may be arrange decussate along the stems.

Flower: The small white tubulate flowers appear after the yellow bracts have developed and the flowering period is long lasting throughout summer. The inflorescence may reach 130mm (5?in)long and appears at the apex of the stems.

Fruit: The small capsule is not commonly seen and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
