Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained media and keep warm and moist.

Take soft tip cuttings after flowering and keep moist and warm.


Botanic information
Leaf: The juvenile leaves are deeply lobed or may develop 3 to 5 elliptical leaflets and the underside is silvery. The dark green adult leaves are entire with an acute apex and a short petiole.

Flower: The apetalous flowers have 4 petal-like sepals that form a short tube with 4-stalkless stamens at the tip of the sepals and a protruding central style. They are arranged in a dense cylindrical spike that appears during summer.

Fruit: The leathery capsule is green turning to dark brown and contains two small winged seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
