Botanic information
Leaf: The thick arching lanceolate leaves have a fleshy texture and an acuminate apex. They are arranged in a basil rosette and tend to arch out when mature.

Flower: The funnelform flowers have 6-slender sepals that are elongated and give it a spider-like appearance. The centre has a cup-like shape corolla that is formed with fused stamens at the base. The flowers are arranged in a terminal umbel with up to 10 blooms and appear on a leafless scape during early summer.

Fruit: The small greenish berries produce seeds that are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
