Sow fresh seed in a well-drained media and maintain in a warm environment.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dull green leaves are narrow-lanceolate to falcate, up to 3mm (? in) wide with pale green undersides. They are arranged oppositely or spirally along the stems.
Flower: The small yellowish male cones are solitary or in groups of 4 and the female cones have 2 to 4 scales. They appear solitary on leafy branches during summer and are 7-25mm (1 in) long.
Fruit: The rounded (obovoid) plum-like cone is fleshy and ripens to yellow. It attracts birds and bats for seed distribution.
