Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C.
Botanic information
Leaf: The bright green long linear leaves are flat and may be pubescent towards the base. The apex is long acuminate and the leaves tend to arch downwards with age.
Flower: The short lived expanding tubulate flowers are enclosed by 2-bracts (spathes) and are arranged in a terminal cluster that is held above the foliage on a slender scape that is up to 400 mm (18in) tall. The flowers appear in succession from late spring to early summer.
Fruit: The small capsules produce profuse viable seeds and are dispersed by water.
