Sow fresh seed during winter in a well-drained media and keep warm and humid.

Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a site, allowing ample room for it to grow as it has vigorous invasive roots that can lift concrete and block drains.

This plant is resistantto Phytophthora cinnamomi.


Botanic information
Leaf: The imparipinnateleaves have 8 to 17 glossy dark green oval to elliptical leaflets that are up to100mm (4in) long. They have a short petiole with an acuminate apex and tend to be pendant.

Flower: The orange-red papillionate flowers have a long pedicle and are arranged is a sessilepanicle that appears on the older woodfrom late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The large hanging boat-shaped pods are deep green ripening to brown. The pod contains 2 to 5 smooth dark seeds that are poisonousif eaten.
