Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring in a well-drained moist media and it may take some time for them to germinate.

Take cuttings throughout the year and placed on a misting bench.


Botanic information
Leaf: The small conifer-like dark greeen leaves are linear to oblanceolate and are tightly packed and overlapping oppositely along the stem.

Flower: The flower buds are red and the small white to pink campanulate flowers have 5-petals and appear in the upper leaf axils. In some areas the flowering period may extend from spring to summer and the persistent calyx is red.

Fruit: The small nuts are rounded and containviable seeds but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
