Propagation
Take stem cuttings of non-flowering shoots during the growing period.
Note:
This plant is not commonly cultivated outside its native region and may be difficult to obtain requiring a specialist nursery.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves vary from linear to narrow-lanceolate with an acuminate apex and a very short petiole. The upper surface is glabrous and the underside is covered in pale-coloured tomentose.
Flower: The cyathiform flowers have 5 petal-like calyx lobes that are up to 8mm (?in) longand are brownish tomentose on the outside but glabrous on the inside. They are accompanied with 5-stamens and the flowers are arranged in pendant spreading cyme that appears during spring.
Fruit: The capsule contains 3 to 4-seeds. The small seeds are viable but may be difficult to germinate so the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
