Propagation
Sow fresh seed singularly in a pot during spring and maintain a temperature of 18º to 21º C. (64º to 75º F).
General pruning information
These plants tolerate a light prune to a node normally after flowering. Do not prune into old wood as it will not regenerate and if the plant has become leggy and woody it will not regenerate after a hard prune. It requires replacement.
Note:
This plant is not commonly cultivated outside its native region and may be difficult to obtain requiring a specialist nursery.
Botanic information
Leaf: The terete dark green acicular leaves have a pointed apex and arranged densely along the reddish stems.
Flower: The small white tubulate flowers are arranged in an axillarycluster that appears during spring.
Fruit: The woody brown follicle is large and beaked and the seeds have along terminal wing.
