Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).
Take semi-hardwood cuttings during summer. The roots appear quickly and care should be taken not to disturb them when potting up.
Botanic information
Leaf: The blue-green pinnate leaves are composed of divaricated (forked) narrow linear leaflets up to 60mm (2?in) long with a channelled upper surface.
Flower: The small creamy white tubulate flower have a peduncle up to 6mm (¥in) long and the perianth segmentsare curled with an exserted style that is up to 6mm (¥in) long. The flowers arearranged in a terminal or axillary cylindrical raceme that is up to 60mm (2?in) tall and appears from late winter to spring and are Insect pollinated.
Fruit: The oblong follicle is up to 7mm (¥in) wide with a wrinkled pericarp and contain smooth, elliptical seeds to 9mm (?in) long with a membranous wing. The small seeds are viable but the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
