Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring and pre-soak seeds in heated water 13º to 18ºC (55º-64ºF) for 24 hours. Seeds may require scarification (peeling treatment).

Take semi hardwood cuttings taken in autumn or spring. Grafted onto G. 'Poorinda Royal Mantle' or G. robustaroot stock.


Botanic information
Leaf: The sessile narrow linear to obovate leaves have an acute pungent apex and may be slightly pubescent. The entire margins are commonly revolute and the mid-vein is prominent on the underside.

Flower: The small tubulate flowers have a pedicle to 7mm (¥in) long with ovoid perianth segments that are strongly recurved and an exserted pinkish style that is up to 25mm (1in) long. The flowers are arranged in a one sidedumbel-like cluster that is up to 60mm (2½in) and appears from late winter to spring.

Fruit: The ovoid woody follicle is up to 7mm (¥in) wide with a thin pericarp and contain pubescent linear seeds to 12mm (½in) long with a recurved margin that has a wing on one side. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
