Propagation
Surface sow fresh seed during spring and lightly cover with sieved peat. Keep moist and maintain a warm temperature.
Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a site as the tree has vigorous roots that can lift concrete and block drains.
Botanic information
Leaf: The glossy green pinnate leaves have elliptic to lanceolate leaflets with a downy-surfaced and appear crowded towards the end of the branches. The leaflets vary in length to approximately 100mm (4in).
Flower: The tiny downy white crateriform flowers have 5-stamens and are arranged in a dense terminal panicle that appears during spring.
Fruit: The rough-textured hard, woody capsule split into 4 to 6 (typically 5) boat-shaped segments containing 2 to 3 flat winged seeds.
