Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leathery textured imparipinnate leaves have oblong to elliptical leaflets with a larger terminal leaflet. The margin is entire and the leaves are arranged oppositely.
Flower: The stellate flowers have 4-narrow pink petals and are arranged in a small cluster that appears in the leaf axils during spring.
Fruit: The small schizocarp capsule may be explosive and contains numerous tiny seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
General pruning information
Lightly prune immediately after flowering to encourage a bushy habit and profuse increased flowering in the following season. Cutting back at other times during the year may cause dieback.
Cut flower but must have reasonable length of stem.
