Propagation
Take semi hardwood cuttings in late spring and summer. Place them in a humid warm environment until rooting occurs.


Botanic information
Leaf: The new ovate leaves are purplish to pale green and change to dark green with age. They are thick, leathery with an acute apex, rounded base and the petiole is up to 6mm (¥in) long. The tiny brown buds are imbricate.

Flower: The strongly scented salverform flowers have 5-white incurving petals and are arranged in small terminal or axillary cyme. They appear on the previous and the current season`s growth for up to six weeks during summer.

Fruit: The pod-like follicle is pendent and contains linear seeds with tufts of hair. The fruit is not normally seen in cooler climates and the plant is normally reproduced vegetatively.
