Propagation
Stratify seeds for 2 to 3 months during winter in peat and then sow seeds in pots and place them in a cold frame.
Graft on to seedlings of Fraxinus oxycarpa.
Culture
Generally these trees require little pruning and the crown may be raised by the removal of appropriate branches back to the collar.
Note:
Care should be taken when selecting a site, allowing ample room for it to grow as it has vigorous invasiveroots that can lift concrete and block drains.
