Propagation
Stratified seeds in a moist media for up to 60 days at 7.2ºC(45°F) Then sow in a well-drained media.
Take softwood or semi hardwood cuttings during early summer and placed under mist.
Botanic information
Leaf: The small leathery textured ovate leaves are glabrous and have a very short petiole. The apex is obtuse and the base is broad cuneate. They appear tightly packed along the branches and during cooler weather turn bronze or plum coloured.
Flower: The creamy funnelform flowers appear solitary or in pairs in the leaf axils towards the top of the stems during spring.
Fruit: The small globular berries are bluish purple and translucent. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
