Botanic information
Leaf: The imparipinnate fronds have a lanceolate outline and the light green segments are pink to red when young. The linear segments are dissected to midrib and have prickly toothed margins.

Flower: The fertile fronds have sori that are a distinctly raised cluster in single or double rows along whole length of the underside of the fertile segment.

Fruit: The spores are produced in the sporangium during the sporophyte stage of the fern life cycle in rows on the back of the fertile frond. The spores are very small (like fine dust) and are released from the sori when mature.
