Botanic information
Leaf: The imparipinnate fronds have a broad lanceolate outline and the linear leaflets are dark green above and pale green on the underside.

Flower: The fertile fronds have the sporangia in a continuous linear cluster on either side of the mid rib. They appear during summer and the fronds are persistent.

Fruit: The sporangium is large opening longitudinally releasing the spores. The spores are produced in the sporangium during the sporophyte stage of the fern life cycle in rows on the back of the fertile frond. The spores are very small (like fine dust) and are released from the sori when mature.
