Propagation
The seeds germination time varies from 2 months to 24 months and they may need scarification. The seeds have a very short viability so sow fresh mature seeds and keep them moist, warm with ample aeration.

Botanic information
Leaf: The imparipinnate fronds are distinctly arching upwards towards apex with many closely placed leaflets that are dull green on both sides.
Flower: The male flowers are creamy-brown and female flowers are green and are arranged on 3 to 5 unbranched spikes that curve downwards from the base of the lower fronds.
The female and male flowers are arranged with 1-female between 2-males on the spike.
Note
The male flowers have 3-overlapping sepals and 3-larger woody petals with numerous stamens and a sterile pistil.
Fruit: The ellipsoid drupe has an extended apex and is shiny green turning grayish-brown to reddish on maturity.
