Propagation
Take cuttings during summer and plant in a well drained moist media.
Layer is used on of the new growth from spring to summer.
Botanic information
Leaf: The ovate leaves have an acute apex and a purplish petiole up to 40mm (1½in) long. The upper surface is silvery between the veins and the underside is a deep purplish colour.
Flower: The white tubulate flowers have 5-lobes and are arranged in a terminal spike that is normally hidden by the foliage and appears from spring to summer.
Fruit: The small capsule is woody and contains numerous seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
