Propagation
Take soft tip cuttings of non-flowering shoots during late spring and semi hardwood cuttings during late summer.

Layering or transplanting suckers is carried out at during the summer.

Culture
This plant flowers on the previous seasons growth and normally requires little pruning. Older plants may be cut back to ground level to rejuvenate but will not flower till the following year. Plants may be lightly trimmed after flowering to promote a bushy habit.


Botanic information
Leaf: The mid green leaves are ovate to oblong with an acuminate apex and a rounded base. The pubescent petiole is up to 6mm (¥in) long and the margin is slightly dentate. The glabrous upper surface has 3 to 5 prominent veins.

Flower: The white crateriform flowers have 4-petals and 4-sepals a strong (apple blossom) fragrance. They are arranged in terminal raceme with up to 7-blooms and appear from late spring to early summer.

Fruit: The small dehiscent capsule is 4 celled and contains many seeds and is persistent on the plant. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
