Propagation
Take semi hardwood cuttings during autumn (with a heel).
Sow fresh seeds from autumn to spring in a well-drained media and keep moist.
Botanic information
Leaf: The variable leaves are narrow elliptical to oblong or lanceolate and up to 40mm (1½ in) wide. They pubescent when young and the petiole is up to 12mm (½in) long. The small rounded bud is covered in brown pubescence.
Flower: The whitish crateriform flowers have 6 to 9 tepals that are covered in brown tomentum and the sepals fall way as the flower opens. The pedicle is up to 12mm (½in) long and the flower has a strong banana scent and appear during spring.
Fruit: The small axillary follicle is cone-like up to 10 mm (? in) wide and is not commonly produced. The fruit is edible but not agreeable. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced vegetatively.
