Propagation
Sow seeds when ripe during late autumn in a well drained seed mix at 5mm (? in) depth. It takes 2 years to produce flowers from seeds.

Offsets can be detached when they have roots. Transplant the bulbs during summer and space 15-20 mm (µ in) with the apex protruding at a height of 20 to 50 mm (2 in).


Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green lanceolate leaves appear after the flowering period and are channelled (strap-like) and die back during late spring.

Flower: The funnelform flowers are arranged in a terminal umbel that appear above the plant on a slender scape up to 600mm(2ft) tall during summer.The colour includes, pink, white, dark pink and they may have ayellow throat.

Fruit: The small globose capsule may contain a single or multiple seeds. The small seeds are viable but the plant is commonly reproduced from the large bulbs that are covered in a papery cover.
