Propagation
Sow fresh seed during spring and maintain a temperature of 16º to 18º C. (61º to 64º F).
Take soft tip cuttings during spring and place in individual tubes in a sandy mixture then placed them under glass.
Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves vary from lanceolate, obovate to oblong with prominent veins on the upper surface and are downy on the underside. They have an acuminate apex and are arranged in opposite pairs along the stems.
Flower: The salverform flowers have a long tube with 5-spreading lobes and are arranged in a terminal corymb that is up to 200mm (8in) wide and appear during autumn. It is regarded as the most beautiful and fragrant of flowers.
Fruit: The woody capsule is club-shape andcontains numerous seeds that are viable but the plant can be reproduced vegetatively.
