Propagation
Take soft tip or semi hardwood cuttings during spring.

This plant transplants easily when young and should be protected from strong sunlight until established.

Culture
It is important to keep moist during dry periods as the plant will suddenly brown off if allowed to dry out.


Botanic information
Leaf: The leaves are ovate to obovate with a notched or rounded apex. They have a leathery texture and are pale glossy green tuning yellow-orange during autumn. The small solitary buds are ovoid with 1-2 pairs of scales that appear as tiny leaves.

Flower: The small flowers are pistillate or staminate and are arranged in a terminal or axillary cluster during spring. They have a honey fragrance and attract bees.

Fruit: This small fruit is a globular 3-celled capsule with short apical prongs and contains six glossy black seeds. The fruit is not normally seen and the plant is commonly reproduces vegetatively.
