Propagation
Sow fresh seeds during spring in containers. The seeds may require scarification prior to sowing.
Botanic information
Leaf: The ovate leaves have a rough surface with depressed veins protruding to underside and they turn pale yellow during autumn before falling. The leaf base is uneven (oblique) and is a trait of the Ulmaceae family.
Flower: The small apetalous flowers are inconspicuous and appear in a cluster during spring.
Fruit: This one seeded drupe is reddish-green turning black during autumn.
