Propagation
Sow fresh seeds in situ in a prepared bed during spring and keep moist.
Take cuttings during summer and place in a humid protected environment.
Botanic information
Leaf: The dark green basil leaves vary from elliptical-oblong to ovate and are pubescent and are larger with a short petiole. The upper smaller leaves are lanceolate with no petiole.
Flower: The white to pink rotate flowers have 4-petals and are arranged in a raceme or panicle that appears from spring to autumn.
Fruit: The pods are cylindrical and contain numerous viable seeds. The seeds are viable but the plant may be reproduced vegetatively.
