Propagation

Botanic information
Leaf: The variable pubescent leaves are oblong to lanceolate and almost sessile or they clasp the stem.

Flower: The salverform flowers have a long tubular base opening with 5 ovate-shaped petals that are notched at the apex. They are available in single colours or a variety of combinations and are arranged in a terminal cyme that appears from summer to autumn.

Fruit: The small seeds average 500 per gram. The capsule is generally removed as part of cultivation so as the plants energy can be concentrated on flower production.
