Propagation
Sow seeds directly to garden beds during autumn for spring flowers and thin out as required. Seeds may also be sown in containers and pricked out when large enough to handle.


Botanic information
Leaf: The lower leaves are pinnately lobed and the upper sessile leaves are narrow linear to lanceolate.

Flower: The flowers consist of tubular ray florets that are usually deeply lobed and the flower head is held above the foliage on a tall slender scape that appears during late spring.

Fruit: The small cypsela produces numerous tiny seeds that are very viable.
