Propagation
Sow fresh seed during early spring directly into a prepared bed or into pots. When planting out space at 180mm. to 350mm (14 in) intervals. It takes 14 weeks from seed to flower.
Botanic information
Leaf: The variable ovate leaves are green on the lower branches becoming red, pink, orange green and yellow towards the topwith full colourin appearing in late summer.
Flower: The small flowers have 5-sepals and stamens but are not commonly seen and are arranged in a spike that appears during early summer and are not a feature of the plant.
Fruit: The small fruit is a 1-seeded utricle.
